The Club explores the politics, scandal and behind-the-scenes stoushes of an AFL club. Gerry, the shrewd administrator, has a huge task ahead as he tries to reconcile Ted, the blustering President and Laurie, the tough and loyal coach, after a scandalous article appears in the press.

And when the over-paid, under performing star recruit Geoff arrives, a few skeletons in the change-room locker are set to be revealed.

Much more than an hilarious play about the struggle between principles and pragmatism in the modern game, The Club is also a social critique of male rituals and a morality tale about loyalty, jealousy and greed.
